District NursesOur team of district nurses can be contacted on 01484 843784. They visit house bound patients for a wide range of conditions. MidwifeAntenatal clinics take place on Thursdays. Please book an appointment with Midwife as soon as possible once the pregnancy test is positive. Midwives offer early screening for a variety of conditions including Down's syndrome and early scans if needed. They will also offer guidance regarding work, benifits advice and well being during your pregnancy. They arrange visits to birth centres/labour ward, physiotherapy/accupuncture if needed. They refer you to the consultant obstetrician as needed. |
Health VisitorBased at Golcar clinic, their contact number is 01484 347884. They are your first point of contact for health advice issues for your pre-school children. They run a weekly baby clinic, details of which can be obtained by ringing them. |
In House CounsellorDiane sees patients whom the doctors refer on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings. |
PhlebotomistPhlebotomy clinics throughout the week. Alternatively you can book in with the Health Care Assistant. There is a childrens phlebotomy service run at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, where creams or sprays can be used to anaesthetise the skin. Parents can ring 01484 342664 to book their childs appointment date and time. CleaningWe employ Carol, our in-house cleaner, to ensure the surgery is clean. MaintenanceWe are committed to an ongoing maintenance programme within the surgery to ensure the building meeting the required standard. |
Administrative StaffThe Practice ManagerThe practice manager, Josephine Anderson is responsible for practice administration and is happy to receive your comments and suggestions on the provision of services offered. SecretariesOur secretaries, Claire and Sharon, are responsible for your referrals for ongoing care as well as a wide range of other administrative tasks to help the doctors and practice manager. Our experienced team of receptionists,Sandra, Joanna, Angela D, Jayne, Julie, Angela T, Christine and Penny are your first point of call. They may well be required to ask you some questions when you speak to them to ensure you get the care you require. Any communication is always confidential. |
