Evening clinics/Exterded hours

For patients who are unable to attend the surgery to see doctor or nurse during the office hours, we run evening clinics every week. It's usually on every tuesday but once a month it will be on wednesday.

You can either chose to see nurse or doctor in these clinics. Please speak to receptionist if you would like to book in to these clinics.

 

Well woman clinics

For cervical screening tests, breast examinations, menstrual irregularities, hormone replacement therapy, menopausal problems. Dr Walker runs the clinic on Tuesdays 3:20pm - 6:00pm and Wednesday lunchtimes.

 

Chronic Disease Management

Asthma and chronic lung disease clinics

Diabetes clinics
*RETINAL SCREENING ON SITE*

Heart disease clinics.

 

Contraception & Sexual Health

The full range of contraceptive methods is available. Barrier methods, pills, injections, subcutaneous implants, coils and the IUS.

Chlamydia screening is available.

 

Antenatal / Baby Clinics

Midwife led antenatal clinics Thursday mornings

Baby clinic
Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings. Ring the Health Visitor on 347884 for more information.

 

Minor Surgery

Including joint injection, removal of lumps, lesions, ingrowing nails, cysts and moles. You need to see a doctor first to ensure the procedure can be carried out at the surgery.

 

Vaccinations / Immunisations

Routine baby and childrens' vaccinations, flu immunisation and vaccination against pnuemococcal infection to name but a few.

Specific flu clinics are held in October each year.

Need help with losing weight? Book in with our nursing team.

 

Travel Advice Clinics

Via appointments with the practice nurses.

Via emailing the nurses using emis access. Please enclose a full list of countries to be visited and the duration of the travel.

Travel immunisations are then available. A charge is made for prescriptions for antimalaria tablets and SOME vaccinations.
